This is something to try. (just a wild guess)

Instead of going to Libraries > Pictures

Try Computer > Users> Your user name > My Pictures in case there are two different My Pictures Folders on your computer.

      Roger. A Shutterfly User.

Thanks Roger, I did indeed try that as well.  No luck...

Try using the express uploader. You should see this option when you select UPLOAD. Roger.

That works!!  I can see all of my folders as options now.  Still not sure why...

        Thank you much.

Not sure how to use Forum....so,

I am having similar problem...trying to create a book on Shutterfly. Tried all you suggested here , no luck. I have most of the photos I need on Windows Live Photo Gallery (Windows 7) and I canot access that thru Shuterfly.  I downloaded the Express Uploader, when I click files it takes me to Documents, I click Pictures, I get some but not all the ones I need. I have DSL and HP laptop. Did the Computer..User,,step too.

I made a DVD last year using these same pictures so I thought I could get them from the DVD but it just plays when I insert it tothe laptop.

          Any suggestions????

          Thanks GRW

      Hi Michael,

Try moving one of the photos from the folder that isn't showing up to your desktop. See if that specific photo is available to select and upload.

Hi Shannon.  Yes, when I put a specific pic to my desktop I can get it to download. And when I move my entire Folder (titled "Printed") with 30 sub-folders in it (multiple titles), I can get any of those to download too.  Just can't access the "Printed" folder in Library/Photos to appear as a selection option.

Check to see if the missing photos are ????.jpg.  If ther are not ".jpg" format they are not recognized by Shutterfly.  THey need to be converted to be used by Shutterfly.  Check on line for free conversion software or use a typical photo editing program.

        Hi Rosemary,

You can try to save the pictures from Windows Live Photo Gallery to desktop in JPEG file format and then try to upload the pictures. If your DVD just play sideshow then you must have ordered Photoshow DVD and not Archive DVD.

      HI Rosemary,

On the left hand side of Windows Live Photo Gallery window it states which folder the pictures that you are looking at are in.  When in Express Up-loader and you click on add files, you mentioned that it takes you to documents, you should then click on to the correct folder of where you saw the pictures in the Windows Live Photo Gallery window on the left.  That should take you to The pictures that you want to upload.  Now for uploading from your DVD, many computers have a automatic thing that when you stick in the DVD it automatically starts playing.  But you can stop that and then open "my computer"  and then double click on your DVD drive, and continue opening folders until you find the pictures files that you want to up load to shutterfly.  You see because Windows Live Photo Gallery isn't a folder where the pictures are stored it is a program where you can view and edit the pictures.  you must find the folder where the pictures are stored and then up load them with the express loader.

Wishing you all the Luck & I hope that this helps

Here I have photo gallery opened and you can see the folders on your left hand side.

Here I have opened express uploader and clicked on "Add Pictures"

Which takes me to Documents Misc,

so I changed it to find the picture folder which my pictures are in:

by clicking onto "pictures" then "my pictures" and then "black & whites"

It is here where I would select all the pictures that I want to upload.  If I want to up load a number of pictures then I would press the control key while clicking on the pictures that I want.
